Cam Newton seems to have found a new appreciation for practice.
Under coach Bill Belichick, the New England Patriots quarterback admitted he’s felt a change in himself since joining his new team this offseason.
“My practice habits this year have been more intensified than any other time in my life,” Newton told WEEI’s “The Greg Hill Show” on Monday. “I’ve been playing this game since I was 6, 7 years old and I’ve never cared about practice as much as I’ve cared about practice since I’ve been in New England.”
Whether it’s Josh McDaniels or Belichick, the Patriots coaching staff has noted Newton’s vigor for practice and the overall day-to-day work that comes with being a team’s starting quarterback.
