Cam Newton reacts to being cut from the Patriots: ‘Please don’t feel sorry for me’

Cam Newton doesn’t want his fans to worry about him at all.

The football world was shocked when everyone found out Cam Newton was no longer a New England Patriot.

This seemingly came out of nowhere. Though Newton was missing time because of the NFL’s COVID-19 protocol, he’d played relatively well in the preseason and was reportedly practicing well, too.

Bill Belichick even told us that he was trending in the right direction and looked better than he did at the start of last season.

Then, a couple of hours later, Newton was cut.

Now everyone is wondering where he’ll go and what he’ll do next. Some people felt sorry he lost his job in the way he did.

Newton had a message for everyone, though. He posted a quick statement on Instagram thanking everyone for their concern but his message to everyone — in that same awful Cam Newton font — was not to worry about it.

“I really appreciate all the love and support during this time but I must say…Please don’t feel sorry for me. I’m good.”

And there you have it. Newton doesn’t seem to be too concerned with his future. Sounds like he doesn’t want his fans to be, either.

He’ll probably end up somewhere soon. Let’s hope, at that next stop, he’s also vaccinated so he can keep his job.
