New England Patriots quarterback Cam Newton gave an emotional tribute on the field Sunday to actor Chadwick Boseman. The Black Panther, the character Boseman played in the Marvel movies, passed away from complications from colon cancer on August 28. Newton made sure to pay tribute to the icon actor.
In in the win over the Miami Dolphins, Newton had a great day, scoring a pair of rushing touchdowns, and establishing himself as a threat on the ground.
Following one of Newton’s touchdown, the quarterback gave the “Wakanda Forever” salute as part of his celebration. Thursday, he took to Twitter to honor Boseman, and attached a picture of the salute.
