From sacking any and all opposing quarterbacks to blowing up rushing attempts and even creating hilarious episodes of his podcast Not Just Football, Cam Heyward truly seems to have discovered the fountain of youth. At 35 years old and 14 seasons into his Pittsburgh Steelers career, Heyward continues to prove that his best football is still ahead of him. Through the first 12 games of the 2024 season, Heyward has produced six sacks, eight tackles for loss, 17 quarterback hits, and eight pass deflections.
Heyward didn’t stop there. During his 13th start of the 2024 season, the big defensive tackle sacked Cleveland Browns QB Jameis Winston not once but twice in Week 14, bringing his sack total to eight on the season. With this in mind, Heyward is currently on pace to achieve 11 sacks through 17 games, which would mark his second-best sack total since recording 12 in 2017.

In what can only be described as a fairy-tale ending to the latter half of the defensive tackle’s career, every Steelers fan, including myself, holds onto hope that Pittsburgh can finally get Heyward his long-overdue Super Bowl championship in 2024.
