No. 1 overall draft pick and former Heisman Trophy Winner Caleb Williams, the rookie quarterback for the Chicago Bears, is scaling his interest in the investment space.
At USC, Williams was among the first athletes to leverage name, image, and likeness deals. He became a part-owner of the male grooming company Faculty in 2022. Williams’ new company, 888 Midas, will focus on investments in private equity, venture capital and real estate deals, according to reports.
“I always planned on being both an athlete and a businessman,” Williams said in a statement to Business Wire.
Williams is still negotiating his rookie deal and is set to finalize the contract with the Chicago Bears before training camp begins in late July, according to the Chicago Tribune.
Williams earned approximately $10 million from NIL deals and endorsements during his time at USC. His NFL rookie deal is expected to be worth $39.5 million with a $25.5 million signing bonus.
“I’m beyond excited to have 888 Midas working for me and for its expected growth as an investment and advisory entity in the years to come,” he said.
Caleb Williams hasn't signed an NFL contract yet, but he's already launched an investment firm.
The No. 1 overall pick has started a firm called 888 Midas, which will target private equity, venture capital, and real estate deals.
