Caitlin Clark named WNBA Eastern Conference Player of the Week

The accolades keep coming.

The awards and accolades just continue to add up for Caitlin Clark. They were nonstop at Iowa and that trend has continued as she has entered the WNBA.

Caitlin Clark, who sits at the top of the CBS Sports WNBA Rookie Rankings, has been on a tear since play resumed from the Olympics and put together arguably her best week yet.

Her performances this week have earned her the WNBA Eastern Conference Player of the Week award. Caitlin Clark averaged 25 points, 9 assists, and 5 rebounds to claim the award.

The Indiana Fever went 2-1 last week and largely in part to Caitlin Clark’s performances.

She started the week off with 29 points, 10 assists, and 5 rebounds in a 98-89 win over the Phoenix Mercury. Her second effort came in a win over the Seattle Storm in which she contributed 23 points, 9 assists, and 5 rebounds.

Clark’s third effort was 23 points, 8 assists, and 5 rebounds in a tough 90-80 loss to the Minnesota Lynx.

While a new week, Caitlin Clark continued her ways in another win last night over the Atlanta Dream. She posted 19 points, 7 assists, and 7 rebounds in an 84-79 victory.

On the season, she is averaging 18 points, 8.2 assists, and 5.8 rebounds per game. Caitlin Clark has helped the Fever turn things around as they are third in the Eastern Conference with a 14-16 overall record as they fight for a playoff spot.
