Indiana Fever rookie guard Caitlin Clark joined New York Liberty guard Sabrina Ionescu with an extremely rare WNBA rookie benchmark on Saturday.
Through 10 games, Clark has recorded 150-plus points, 50-plus rebounds and 50-plus assists, which has only been achieved once before in league history by a rookie with Ionescu.
That’s simply remarkable and refutes any sort of narrative that Clark is struggling as a rookie. If anything, she’s exactly where you’d want her to be through 10 games of her career.
Even though the Fever are 2-8 on the season, Clark is succeeding in what she does best, and she’s not even close to reaching her professional potential.
