Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever might just be starting to figure things out a little bit. After a slow start to the season, the Fever, led by Clark’s incredibly high output, are beginning to make some noise across the WNBA.
Coming off of a win over the New York Liberty, the league’s top team, which was fueled by a Caitlin Clark triple-double, the Indiana Fever hold steady in the most recent ESPN WNBA Power Rankings.
Sitting at 9-13 and currently holding onto the No. 7 seed in the playoffs, one game ahead of the Chicago Sky and Angel Reese, the Fever find themselves at No. 6 in these power rankings.

The Fever hung with the Aces until the fourth quarter Tuesday, then fell 88-69 before 20,000-plus at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. Back home Saturday before a sellout crowd at Gainbridge Fieldhouse, the Fever got their most impressive win so far, 83-78 over a Liberty team that had already beaten them three times this season. Clark’s triple-double: 19 points, 13 assists, 12 rebounds. This week sees the Fever play three games in a five-day stretch which is certain to test their stamina. The Fever struggled early in the season as their initial wave of games gave them minimal rest. It will be a big test to see if they have figured out the short rest this week.
First up are two home games against the Washington Mystics (5-17) on July 10th and the Phoenix Mercury (11-10) on July 12th. The week wraps up with a test up north to take on the Minnesota Lynx (15-6) on July 14th which should see a heavy presence of Iowa fans.
