Caitlin Clark becomes first female athlete to sign with trading card company Panini America

Caitlin Clark’s legend only continues to grow. She is now the first female athlete to sign a deal with trading card company Panini America.

The recently named Big Ten Player of the Year, Caitlin Clark, is in the headlines once again. This time she is paving the way once again for female athletes and their capitalization on name, image, and likeness deals in today’s college athletics landscape.

The Iowa Hawkeyes’ point guard has just become the first female athlete to sign a deal with trading card company Panini America. She was in a deal with Topps but now joins Panini in a deal that starts almost immediately as her rights become exclusive to Panini on April 1st.

“It’s an honor to partner with Panini America as their first multi-year exclusive female athlete, and I’m excited to collaborate with them on my own collection,” Caitlin Clark had to say about the groundbreaking new deal she signed.

Clark has no shortage of moments for Panini to capture, as well. From her logo three to break Kelsey Plum’s NCAA women’s all-time scoring record to the free throw she made to pass Pete Maravich for the NCAA all-time scoring record, Panini is sure to recreate some memorable moments for fans to attain.

Caitlin Clark is destined to be the No. 1 pick in this year’s WNBA Draft and Panini will be able to create trading cards and memorabilia as she enters the WNBA and begins the next chapter of her already legendary career.
