Chicago Bulls rookie Daniel Gafford will play early Monday night at home against the Milwaukee Bucks, head coach Jim Boylen said prior to the matchup.
The second-round pick has logged just 12 total minutes this season in four games but will see an uptick in minutes with Luke Kornet out for at least a week after undergoing surgery to address a sinus obstruction.
Gafford recently re-joined the Bulls after a stint in the G League with the Windy City Bulls. In three games on assignment, Gafford is averaging 17.3 points, 8.3 rebounds, 2.7 blocks and two steals, while he is shooting 80.6% from the field.
Jim Boylen said Daniel Gafford will play 1st half minutes vs. Bucks.

Gafford has said that he models his game after the likes of Clint Capela and DeAndre Jordan, two players that often dominate down low. The Bulls are certainly hoping he can do just that, though he will have his hands full Monday night against Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Bucks.
