As the Chicago Bulls prepare for the final week of their season before the playoffs get set to begin, they received some tough news when they found out their starting point guard is likely going to be shut down for the season.
Lonzo Ball, who hasn’t played since Jan. 14 after undergoing meniscus surgery, will now likely be shut down for the rest of the season. In his first season in Chicago, Ball was averaging 13.0 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 5.1 assists while also shooting 42.3% from deep on 7.4 attempts per night as he had begun to take some big steps forward on the offensive end.
Ball had been rehabbing since January, but he has been experiencing some discomfort amid the recovery attempts to return to play as well as a bone bruise in his knee.

This is tough news for the Bulls who currently sit as the No. 5 seed in the East. They were at the top of the conference, but losing Ball was a big detriment to this team.
