Bulls coach Billy Donovan optimistic about Lonzo Ball’s recovery

Chicago Bulls head coach Billy Donovan said on Friday that he is optimistic of guard Lonzo Ball’s recovery from his left knee injury.

Chicago Bulls Head Coach Billy Donovan said on Friday that he is “very very optimistic” about guard Lonzo Ball’s recovery according to NBC Sports Chicago’s K.C. Johnson.

Ball has been dealing with a bone bruise and meniscus tear in his left knee since January. The latest update before Friday was in September when the Bulls said that Ball was having another procedure on his left knee and that he would be out for the season. According to Johnson, Donovan did not provide a timetable for Ball so until then, the saga continues, but the fact that the word “optimistic” was used is a positive sign for Chicago.

While the Bulls wait on Ball to return, they will look to continue to grow their team as they take on the Boston Celtics. Sitting at 5-4 despite a slew of injuries, there are reasons to be optimistic about what this team can do when Ball finally returns from this injury.
