After he was allegedly involved in a physical altercation at a Walgreens in Nashville on Sunday, Tennessee Titans outside linebacker Bud Dupree has been issued a citation charging him with misdemeanor assault.
According to Metro Nashville Police, the charge stems from Dupree’s alleged involvement in a physical altercation between himself and companions he was with, and two employees at a Walgreens in Nashville.
Here’s more details from Mariah Timms and Ben Arthur of The Tennessean:
Dupree, 28, was at a Walgreens store in the 1100 block of Rosa L. Parks Boulevard around 8 p.m. Sunday with “several” companions, according to a short news release from MNPD.
A male employee was allegedly filming Dupree on his phone before the incident which MNPD spokesperson Don Aaron called a “physical altercation” in an emailed release.
Two employees were treated for injuries after the altercation. A female employee was treated for a cut on her hand, and a male employee was treated for a cut to his forehead, Aaron said.
Dupree had left the store by the time police arrived, according to Aaron.
Dupree, who met with police on Tuesday, is due to be booked in three weeks.
After news of the alleged altercation came to light, WKRN’s Emily Proud reached out to the Titans for a statement, to which they replied, “We are aware of the situation and are gathering additional information.”
