Bucs WR Russell Gage shares positive update after scary injury

An encouraging update from Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Russell Gage after Monday night’s injury

Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Russell Gage shared a positive update on social media Tuesday after suffering a scary injury during Monday night’s wild-card loss to the Dallas Cowboys.

Gage went down late in the fourth quarter, and had to be placed on a back board before leaving the field on a cart. He was taken to the hospital to be evaluated for a concussion and a potential neck injury.

Bucs head coach Todd Bowles told the media Tuesday that Gage indeed suffered a concussion, but that he did not sustain any additional injury to his neck. Bowles said he expected Gage to be released from the hospital later on Tuesday.
