Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Chris Godwin has added two impressive milestones to his credit in Sunday’s regular-season finale against the Atlanta Falcons.
Godwin became the second player in Bucs history to go over 100 receptions in a single season, joining Keyshawn Johnson. He also bagged the third 1,000-yard season of his career.
Those numbers are impressive in any situation, but particularly for Godwin, who suffered a torn ACL in Week 15 of last season. He made an incredible recovery, and was in the starting lineup for the Bucs in Week 1 this season.
Godwin needs to be a prime candidate for this year’s NFL Comeback Player of the Year award.
