The New Orleans Saints have worked out of Tulane’s Yulman Stadium before, mainly during the preseason for training camp. Now, due to Hurricane Milton, they are sharing that field and facility with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
The team departed the Tampa Bay area on Tuesday ahead of Hurricane Milton’s landfall late Wednesday. The storm brought the effects of a Category 3 storm, which damaged an area already reeling from Hurricane Helene’s impact, which made landfall just two weeks ago.
Ironically, for one member of the Bucs, this is serving as a sort of homecoming.
Michael Pratt, a rookie quarterback on the Bucs practice squad, played his college football at Tulane. Pratt has yet to play in a game this season, but he can offer some hospitality that no one else on the team can with their facilities.
The Bucs will play the New Orleans Saints on Sunday at 1:00 p.m. EST/Noon CST.
