The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are getting healthy before their game against the Detroit Lions, but it’s a different story on the other side of the matchup.
The Bucs are mostly back to full participation, with a sudden illness from outside linebacker Shaquil Barrett designating him as a non-participant. The big news is wide receiver Mike Evans, who was the only non-participant on Wednesday, was a limited participant in practice. Head coach Todd Bowles previously said that Friday’s practice would be an indicator on whether or not he will play on Sunday.
Here’s what the Thursday injury report looks like:
The Lions side of things added an interesting wrinkle. Rookie tight end Sam LaPorta, who has been a breakout star for the team this year, appeared on the injury report suddenly on Thursday with a calf injury and did not participate in practice. That will be something to monitor going forward, as LaPorta has caught three touchdowns so far with the Lions this year and is a notable part of their offense.
