The Buccaneers have selected OL Cody Mauch with the No. 48 pick.

Tampa Bay traded a sixth-round pick (No. 179) to the Green Bay Packers to move up two spots and select Mauch. Mauch played for North Dakota State University in college.

Mauch started out as a tight end for NDSU but moved to tackle during his college career. He impressed scouts by only allowing two sacks in 801 total snaps and had a strong showing at the Senior Bowl, boosting his draft stock higher.

Tampa Bay’s selection of Mauch fills the need at tackle, so the team will likely look to grab a cornerback in Round 3 of the draft.
