The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have found their new offensive coordinator after searching for the past few days. After losing them in back-to-back offseasons, Todd Bowles and the team have become used to this work.
Compared to previous seasons, the Bucs chose an in-house candidate and promoted Josh Grizzard. NFL Media first reported the promotion on Friday afternoon.
Grizzard graduated from Yale in 2011 and immediately jumped into coaching after earning a political science degree.
Grizzard joined the staff as the passing game coordinator in 2024. Before his work in Tampa Bay, Grizzard was with the Dolphins from 2017 to 2023 and stopped at Duke and his alma mater, Yale, to start his coaching career.
Grizzard will now be given the keys to the most explosive offense he has ever coached with the Bucs. He will have key players such as Baker Mayfield, Mike Evans, Bucky Irving, and Tristan Wirfs all returning in 2024. If Jason Licht is able to work some magic, you can even add Chris Godwin to the mix to give him all the things he will need to succeed in 2025 and beyond.
