The Tampa Bay Buccaneers used the 13th pick in last night’s NFL draft to select Iowa OT Tristan Wirfs. The rookie will join a line tasked with protecting Tom Brady this season.
Wirfs was the last of the four top-ranked tackles still on the board when the Bucs pulled off a trade with the Niners to move up from 14 to select him.
Today, we found out what number Wirfs will wear to start his NFL career.
Take a look.
There you have it: the newest Buc will wear no. 78. The most accomplished players in team history in that number are former D-linemen John Cannon and Marcus Jones. Tristan Wirfs could very quickly make a case for the best offensive 78 in Bucs history. https://t.co/D7KGB2leK7

You’ve got to admit, he looks good in a Bucs uniform.
