It was all but official that Mike Evans’ season was over when he went down with a hamstring injury in the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ 38-35 win over the Indianapolis Colts in Week 14.
Upon the injury, head coach Bruce Arians said that he would be shocked if Evans made it back before the Bucs’ last game of the season against the division rival Atlanta Falcons. ESPN’s Jenna Laine later reported that Evans would most likely be shut down for the remainder of the season.
Today, NFL Insider Ian Rapoport reported that the Bucs have officially placed Evans on injured reserved, ending his season just one day after it was announced that Evans was selected to represent the Buccaneers in the 2020 Pro Bowl.
The #Bucs officially placed WR Mike Evans and S Jordan Whitehead on IR. They added WR Spencer Schnell to the 53-man roster.

It should only be a matter of time before the team’s other star wide receiver Chris Godwin receives the same designation.
