The Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ victory in Super Bowl XXXVII over the Oakland Raiders marked the culmination of years of hard work and pulling themselves out of the pits of the NFL.
For a franchise that once had a winless season in 1976, a Super Bowl title is the ultimate prize. That 2002 squad featured Hall of Famers like Derrick Brooks, Warren Sapp, and perhaps another in former safety John Lynch, who is 1 of 15 finalists up for induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame’s Class of 2020.
While Lynch will have to wait a few more weeks to find out if he’ll be inducted on his seventh try, he can celebrate the fact that we just named NFL Executive of the Year by football writers.
Lynch’s former teammate, Brooks, took to Twitter to let everyone know.

Lynch’s 49ers take on the Green Bay Packers later today in the NFC Championship Game with a trip to Super Bowl LIV in Miami on the line.
