The Las Vegas Raiders haven’t had much go their way during the 2024 season. They are just 2-10 on the year but they may have a fundamental piece of their offense secured for the future in rookie tight end Brock Bowers.
Many saw Bowers as a top-five player in the 2024 NFL Draft, and on Wednesday, Bucs head coach Todd Bowles offered his thoughts on the rookie.
“I thought he was one of the best tight ends coming out in a long time – not just this draft, but in a long time. He’s living up to expectations. He can play wideout, he can play tight end, he can do some fullback, he can run jet sweeps. They do a lot of things with him and he’s a very talented guy.”
The talent has translated to the NFL immediately in terms of production. The rookie has 84 receptions on the year totaling 884 receiving yards and four touchdowns.
On Sunday, to avoid a trap game for the Bucs, he will be the center of attention for this Bucs’ defensive unit.
