Bucs G Cody Mauch primed for big jump in 2nd NFL season

After starting every game as a rookie, Tampa Bay Buccaneers guard Cody Mauch should be much improved in 2024

Under general manager Jason Licht, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have proven they know how to draft and develop quality offensive line prospects, particularly when they draft them on Day 2 from smaller programs.

It worked with Ali Marpet (2nd round, Hobart College) and Alex Cappa (3rd round, Humboldt State), and they’re looking for another success story in Cody Mauch, their second-round pick in 2023 out of North Dakota State.

Mauch earned the starting job at right guard from Day 1 as a rookie last season, and made huge strides throughout the year. Now heading into his second NFL season, Mauch is poised to make a big jump in his play.
