We've designated S Logan Ryan to return from injured reserve, which means he can return to practice immediately and could be activated within the next three weeks.#GoBucs

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are close to getting back a key veteran on defense.
Defensive back Logan Ryan has been designated for return from injured reserve, the team announced Wednesday.
This move opens up a 21-day window during which Ryan can return to practice. At any point during that stretch, he can be officially added to the active roster.
Ryan’s return is most welcome for a defensive backfield that’s dealing with plenty of other injuries. His versatility should help guard against anyone else in the secondary who might not be able to play in the coming weeks.
