On Wednesday, the Milwaukee Bucks announced that they signed second-round pick and former Seton Hall forward Sandro Mamukelashvili to a two-way contract.
Mamukelashvili, who was the 54th overall pick, was named the Co-Big East Player of the Year last season after averaging 17.5 points, 7.6 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 1.1 steals. He finished as one of only two players in the conference to rank in the top five in scoring and rebounding.
The 6-foot-11 forward made a massive jump in production from his junior to senior season, increasing his scoring from 11.9 to 17.5. He was one of just 12 players from a power six basketball school to register multiple 30-point games, highlighted by a career-high 32 points on Dec. 11.

Mamukelashvili worked hard during the pre-draft process to improve his defense while his footwork and shot have become more refined. He projects to bring a strong inside presence to the Bucks and could eventually earn a larger role with further development.
Players this season signed to two-way contracts are eligible to spend no more than 50 games in the NBA. They will earn a flat salary equal to 50% of the minimum salary applicable to a player with zero years of service.
