Milwaukee Bucks second-round pick Hugo Besson will play the 2022-23 season with Metropolitans 92 of the LNB Pro A in France, the team announced.
Besson, who was born in Angers, France, was drafted 58th by the Bucks after a strong season in the National Basketball League. He averaged 13.9 points, 3.4 rebounds and 2.5 assists on 39% shooting from the field last season with the New Zealand Breakers.
The 21-year-old played with the Bucks last month in the Las Vegas Summer League, averaging 2.5 points and 2.3 rebounds in four games. He had his best game on July 13 with six points and five rebounds in a win over the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Besson will have the opportunity to continue his development in France, where he will play alongside Victor Wembanyama, the projected top pick next year. The team plays in the top league in France so that competition should help Besson prepare for the next level.
