Bubba Watson switches to Ping G425 driver with “BUBBA” written in pink across the crown

The two-time Masters champion put a customized pink and black G425 LST driver in his bag at Shadow Creek in Las Vegas.

Ping recently released the new G425 drivers and fairway woods in Asia and Australia, and Tyrrell Hatton had a few of the clubs two weeks ago when he won the European Tour’s BMW PGA Championship.

The clubs are not yet available at retail in the United States.

Last week in North Las Vegas, PGA Tour players got their first chance to put the clubs into play, and Bubba Watson was among the early adopters. The two-time Masters champion put a customized pink and black G425 LST driver in his bag at Shadow Creek, with the word “BUBBA” in pink across the crown. It appeared to have the same Grafalloy Bi-Matrix Prototype X shaft that Watson has used for years.

Watson opened with a 74 at the CJ Cup but rallied for a T-7 finish using the new driver.
