Bryson DeChambeau explains his ‘eat whatever I want’ diet

Bryson DeChambeau looks like a different person after the shutdown.

PGA Tour star Bryson DeChambeau decided in 2019 that he was going to bulk up for the new season, and he showed up in December 30 pounds heavier, hitting bombs off the tee. DeChambeau stayed in the gym during the coronavirus shutdown, and since golf has returned, the emergence of Beefy Bryson has been one of the biggest stories in the sport. DeChambeau’s body has completely transformed, and he’s playing some incredible golf.

Since golf returned, DeChambeau has been punishing balls off the tee, and leads the PGA Tour in driving distance at 323.8 yards – a number that’s likely to rise as the season continues. Just listen to the sound of this swing.

After a second-round 64 left him just one shot off Webb Simpson’s lead, DeChambeau detailed his diet – which allows him to eat absolutely anything he wants.

“It’s a two-to-one carb-to-protein ratio, and I literally just have at it. I eat whatever I want whenever. Obviously, I’m trying to control the intake of sugars, but carbs are fine because I’m obviously sweating like crazy out here. So I just eat as much as I want right now. It’s nice. And I don’t gain weight. I actually lose weight, I’ve lost a little bit of weight this week.

…. I haven’t taken rest days off. I’m literally working out every single day as hard as I can.”
