Bryce Young is preparing for his rookie season in the NFL with the Carolina Panthers after being selected first overall in the 2023 draft. Now, with a few weeks of practice under his belt, he is able to work efficiently on the field and in the locker room.
Being the quarterback of a team doesn’t just require a player to perform well, it calls for leadership. According to his teammates, Young has been doing just that.
Recently, during media availability, The Carolina Blitz asked linebacker Shag Thompson and offensive lineman Brady Christensen their thoughts on Young.
“I think that kid is smart,” said Thompson. “He understands football. He understands the playbook. He’s making great throws out there. He’s just learning how to be a pro.”
“I can’t speak highly enough of him. Just the way he carries himself, his leadership, his confidence,” said Christensen. “You can tell. I’m really excited to protect him and see what he can do.”
