Bryce Young was recently named the starting quarterback for the Carolina Panthers. Before that, he was the first overall pick in the 2023 NFL draft. Before that he was a Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback for Nick Saban and Alabama. However, before all of that, he was a food delivery driver for Door Dash.
Young who recently spoke with media members at Panthers training camp, told a funny story about how he would wear a mask and a hoodie and deliver food around Tuscaloosa as a Door Dash driver. He made it clear that this was done in the days before name, image, likeness licensing was allowed by the NCAA.
He said that he would normally only do the orders that called for the food to be left at the door, with no contact. Could you imagine opening your front door and seeing Bryce Young standing there?
With his new rookie contract, it’s not likely that he’ll ever be doing that again.
Bryce Young was a DoorDash driver his first year in college before NIL
He says he'd wear a mask and hoodie and only accept 'drop it at my door' orders so people wouldn't recognize him 😅
