Bryce Young blows away the Panthers coaching staff in his first NFL practice

Bryce Young shines at first day of Panthers rookie camp

This will come as no surprise to the Alabama faithful, but [autotag]Bryce Young[/autotag] was simply sensational in his first NFL practice with the Carolina Panthers.

During his time in Tuscaloosa, Young was notorious for being meticulous in his work ethic and incredibly well-prepared.

To set the tone, Young arrived at his first practice an hour early and showed his teammates what can be expected of him. It was only his first day of rookie camp, yet his teammates and coaches alike were blown away by Young.

Head coach Frank Reich noted he had complete control from his first snap and added,

“He did everything right, the little throws out in the flat, the little bubble screen stuff that people overthrow — he threw with accuracy, saw it well, knew where guys were supposed to be. Bryce did not only a good job with himself, but really commanding the huddle, keeping everybody loose, keeping everybody dialed into what we were doing.”

Fellow rookie receiver, Jonathan Mingo, also sang Young’s praises by saying,

“Just knowing the ins and outs of the offense, knowing where everybody is supposed to be, knowing the whole playbook, just having great footwork, knowing his reads. … You could tell he knew what he was doing. He’s just a great leader by the way he carries himself on and off the field.”

There is a reason the Panthers were willing to sacrifice so many assets to earn the top pick in the draft, but I am sure they are thrilled to see their plans come to fruition.

Roll Tide Wire will continue to monitor Bryce Young and the Panthers offseason work.
