Bryce Foster takes first place in shot put at the Island Relays

Suns out Guns out as Bryce Foster takes first in the shot put at the Island Relays in the Bahamas

Jimbo Fisher makes a point to try to recruit multiple sports athletes out of high school. For example, Conner Weigman was a top high school baseball player, Devon Achane was a high-level sprinter, and Bryce Foster was a nationally-ranked thrower coming out of Katy Taylor.

After suffering a significant leg injury, Bryce Foster returned to the shot-put circle on February 25th at SEC Indoor Championships. Not only did he make his debut he placed sixth after a five-month layoff and rehab. Foster reflected on his return in a Twitter post:

“122 days ago I had surgery to fix my torn ACL and Today I place 6th in the first indoor track meet of the year at the conference championships in the SEC with a throw at 18.79m. This isnt the distance that I wanted, but regardless I’m happy and proud of myself to be where i’m at”

Bryce is definitely working his way back up to his PR and took another big step forward by taking first place in the shot put with a distance of 62-8.75/19.12m helping the Texas A&M Men’s Track & Field team win at the Island Relays.
