Bryan Harsin is ranked outside the top-100 in latest ESPN list

How does Bryan Harsin rank as a player-turned-coach?

Opinions about Auburn head coach Bryan Harsin are all over the place, but how about his time as a player?

ESPN put out an article (subscription required) ranking the top 130 FBS head coaches as players.

Harsin, a former quarterback, threw limited passes during his playing days at Boise State but turned that experience into a successful coaching career.

In the article, written by ESPN’s Adam Rittenberg, Harsin comes in at number 106 overall.

“Before taking the Auburn job, Harsin spent practically his entire life in Boise, Idaho,” Rittenberg writes. “After playing for Boise’s Capital High School, he was a Boise State quarterback from 1996 to 1999. Harsin didn’t play much, though, recording only 39 pass attempts.”
