Auburn takes the floor for the last time in the 2020-21 season on Saturday as the Tigers host Mississippi State in a rescheduled game from a few weeks ago.
Tigers fans hoping to see star point guard Sharife Cooper one last time if he opts to go pro following the season might be disappointed.
“I doubt it,” Bruce Pearl said of if Cooper will play, per OANow’s Jordan Hill. “He worked out yesterday. He went through some play-call review … He just didn’t look like he was able to push off as much as he would need to.”
Cooper has missed the last three games after injuring his ankle in practice the Sunday prior to the matchup against Florida. With his NBA draft stock continuing to rise, it is likely that he will decide to become the second one-and-done in as many years for the Tigers following Isaac Okoro.
In 12 games this season, Cooper averaged 20.2 points, 8.1 assists and 4.3 rebounds per game.
