The statistical numbers haven’t quite been there for the former second-round pick Elijah Moore in his first season with the Cleveland Browns. Through four games the team has only had one good game worth of quarterback play in which Moore caught all nine of his targets for 49 yards.
Looking at these raw numbers has led many to say that he isn’t perfect and is just another guy. The advanced metrics and film show that just isn’t true as according to Next Gen Stats there isn’t a wide receiver in the league creating more separation through the first three games than Moore.
The team has also overused him on jet sweeps and as a running back despite it not working which has left a sour taste in the mouth of some fans. Moore is fast and agile and if the team uses him to his strength as a traditional outside receiver the statistical numbers will follow.
