Due to the team playing the New York Jets in the Hall of Fame game in Canton, the Cleveland Browns will open training camp a week earlier to prepare for the extra preseason game. Now it seems the team will use the extra time to get away and work on team bonding according to Mary Kay Cabot.
“Coach Kevin Stefanski opted to take his players off-site for on-and-off-field team bonding and chemistry because of the early start to camp and the fact they have four preseason games this year. They’ll play the Jets at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium in Canton in honor of former Browns left tackle Joe Thomas’ induction into the Hall two days later.”
The team will later return to Berea with practices that will be open to fans. The team won’t know the regular schedule for camp until the NFL releases the preseason schedule later this month.
