The passing attack of the Cleveland Browns, and offense in general, started as one of the most efficient offenses in football. They did have some struggles in the back half of the season, especially after the quarterback change. But according to Warren Sharp, their passing production did not come from wide receivers that lined up out wide to start the play.
Cleveland had 1,556 yards from players lined up out wide and by comparison, the team in first place was Miami who had 2,575 yards. It will be interesting to watch this number next season as the team is likely to change the offense around to focus on the strengths of Deshaun Watson.
This may be why they could turn to a wide receiver with pick no. 74 in the 2023 NFL draft.
