Browns waive DT Roderick Perry as Chase Winovich activation is likely

After the release of Roderick Perry II, is the return of Chase Winovich near for the Browns?

After signing him to the active roster just before the game against the Miami Dolphins, the Cleveland Browns have now waived defensive tackle Roderick Perry II just days later. They had an open roster spot open after designating both running back Jerome Ford and defensive end Chase Winovich for return from Injured Reserve (and only Ford was activated).

The waiving of Perry may now indicate that Winovich is set to be activated from the IR this week. Spending every day with the Browns through camp and the season on the practice squad, Perry will likely land back on the reserves unit should he clear waivers.
