Browns TE David Njoku tweets out optimism for game vs. Ravens despite burn accident

It looks like the tight end will give it a go despite suffering burns on Friday night

The Cleveland Browns went through the whole week of practice looking like a healthy bunch (outside of quarterback Deshaun Watson’s throwing shoulder), and every player on the roster even practiced on Thursday as the team prepared for the Baltimore Ravens. However, tight end David Njoku was added to the injury list on Saturday and given the questionable gameday designation after suffering burns to his arms and face while lighting a firepit at his home the night before.

However, Njoku himself seems to think he is good to go, tweeting out, “the flesh is weak. See [you] tomorrow” after the news came out yesterday.

The passing attack of the Browns finally got clicking, and it is only a matter of time before Njoku, coming off of a career season a year ago, becomes a vital part of that. As the Browns look to get into the bye week up 3-1 on the schedule, a healthy Njoku would go a long way. Especially in their suffering rushing attack as the tight end has grown into one of the best run-blocking tight ends in the NFL.
