Browns TE David Njoku out 2-5 weeks with high ankle sprain

The breakout campaign of tight end David Njoku will have to be put on hold as he will be sidelined for the next 2-to-5 weeks with a high ankle sprain. The second-leading receiver for the Cleveland Browns, Njoku has been a consistent force for the team after inking a massive extension this past offseason.

Leaving the game against the Baltimore Ravens, Njoku was seen leaving on crutches and in a boot. All things considered, this is good news for both the Browns and Njoku. Njoku is currently on pace for 82 catches and over 1,000 yards receiving for the Browns this season. That 17-game pace will now be slowed up significantly as Njoku has been playing at a legitimate All-Pro level in 2022.
