The Browns added one more practice squad player to the team’s reserve/futures list over the weekend. Cleveland signed wide receiver and return specialist Ryan Switzer to a reserve/futures contract.
Switzer was on and off the Browns practice squad over the 2020 season after spending his first three NFL seasons with the Pittsburgh Steelers and Dallas Cowboys. He was a 4th-round pick by Dallas in the 2017 NFL draft out of North Carolina and quickly won the Cowboys return man position. He was also the Steelers’ primary return man in 2018.
As a receiver, Switzer primarily operates out of the slot. He was on the Browns’ practice squad reserve/COVID-19 list and also had time on the practice squad injury list during his first year in Cleveland. His reserve/futures contract is for one year, tying Switzer to the Browns through the offseason until the roster limit expands to 90 in March.
