Browns sign WR Alexander Hollins, add OL to practice squad

Hollins played for Stefanski in Minnesota

The newest wide receiver in Cleveland is a familiar face for head coach Kevin Stefanski. The Browns signed WR Alexander Hollins on Monday.

Hollins spent his rookie season in 2019 with the Minnesota Vikings, where Stefanski served as the offensive coordinator. An undrafted free agent from Eastern Illinois, Hollins caught two passes in late-season spot duty after spending most of the year on the Minnesota practice squad.

Hollins will remain on the exempt list until he clears all the required COVID-19 protocols. The Browns do not have to make a move to create space immediately.

The team also signed free agent OG Cordel Igwuagwu to the practice squad. Igwuagwu is a rookie from TCU who spent part of the season on the Texans’ practice squad. He was a three-year starter at left guard for the Horned Frogs.
