With the No. 26 overall pick of the 2021 NFL draft, the Cleveland Browns selected Northwestern cornerback Greg Newsome.
Newsome was one of the more popular projections to Cleveland in mock drafts, and the projections proved prophetic. He was one of the primary focuses from the Browns throughout the scouting process.

Newsome comes to Cleveland as an early entrant from Northwestern, where he was a three-year starter. He does have some injury concerns–Newsome missed at least three games in each of his three seasons for the Wildcats.
His coverage skills and very impressive athleticism he showed on both game film and his pro day highlight the significant upside for Newsome.
