The Cleveland Browns lost another starter on the defensive side of the football, placing defensive tackle Shelby Harris on Injured Reserve.
This ends the season for Harris and tallies another starter on IR for the team. This is just another notch in a lost season that has the team and its fanbase already turning the page toward free agency and the 2025 NFL draft.
Harris finishes his 2024 season with 1.5 sacks and five tackles for loss.
To fill his roster spot, the Browns have signed wide receiver and return man James Proche II to their active roster from their practice squad. To fill Proche’s spot on the practice squad, the Browns have brought back defensive tackle Michael Dwumfour.
Harris is still under contract for one more season in Cleveland, so we will see if the Browns bring him back. Given the amount of post-June 1 designations the Browns have versus the players the Browns may need to designate would indicate that the 33-year-old is going to be back in 2025. At least for training camp.
