Browns pummel Titans with huge 1st half, win 41-35: Everything we know

The Titans had a second-half surge but it wasn’t enough to overcome a huge early deficit against the Browns.

The Tennessee Titans took a major step back in Week 13 after losing to the Cleveland Browns, 41-35, thanks to a horrific first half of football from head coach Mike Vrabel’s squad.

The final score doesn’t do the Browns’ overall dominance as much justice, as the Titans trailed 38-7 going into halftime after getting completely out-classed in the first two quarters.

The Titans did out-score the Browns 28-3 in the second half and were able to make it a one-score game with under one minute remaining in the fourth quarter, but it was too little, too late

While the Titans were able to keep the Browns’ elite rushing attack in check, it was Cleveland’s passing offense that proved to be the difference. Baker Mayfield threw for nearly 300 yards and four touchdowns in the first half alone, as Tennessee’s secondary and pass rush provided zero resistance.

Offensively, the Titans couldn’t get anything going until the second half when the game was already pretty much out of reach. Tennessee also committed three turnovers in total, one of which broke the back of its comeback attempt.

If you can stomach it, here’s a look at everything we know from Tennessee’s Week 13 loss to Cleveland.
