During his time with the Vikings, wide receiver Alexander Hollins impressed during preseason games and in this season’s training camp.
That wasn’t enough for Minnesota to put him on the active roster this year, but the team did have him on the practice squad — until this week.
On Monday, the Browns announced that the team had poached Hollins off the Vikings’ practice squad.
Hollins will join former Vikings offensive coordinator Kevin Stefanski, who is now Cleveland’s head coach. The Browns just lost to the Jets, but the team is 10-5 and has a shot at postseason contention.
The Browns have just one wide receiver — Marvin Hall — on their active roster at the moment due to a plethora of injuries and players placed on the COVID-19/reserve list. So Hollins may have a chance to come in and earn some playing time right away.
