The Odell Beckham Jr. return to action with the Cleveland Browns will have to wait another week. Head coach Kevin Stefanski declared the erstwhile starting wide receiver officially out for the Browns in their Week 2 matchup with the Houston Texans.
Beckham was inactive in Week 1 after being deemed questionable on the injury reports. He tore his ACL last October.
He has practiced at full speed but the Browns are still not quite comfortable enough with getting Beckham back into the lineup. This week, Stefanski preemptively ended the drama about if No. 13 will play or not by declaring him out in his press conference on Wednesday.
Donovan Peoples-Jones started in Beckham’s spot in Week 1, and the Browns also used speedy rookie Anthony Schwartz prominently in the outside receiver role too.
