Browns make multiple roster moves including signing two to active roster

The Browns continue to make roster moves (8 on Tuesday) bringing two up to the active roster, releasing one from the practice squad and adding 3, including a new RB, to that squad. One new addition was with the Patriots last season:

The Cleveland Browns have had to make a lot of roster moves this season due to injuries, COVID-19 and general churning of the bottom of the roster.

On Tuesday, the team signed two players off of their practice squad to the active roster, signed three to their practice squad, released one from the practice squad and officially placed two on their Reserve/COVID-19 list.

As shared earlier, running backs Nick Chubb and Demetric Felton were diagnosed with COVID-19. The team officially announced placing them on that reserve list.

The Browns released cornerback Tim Harris off their practice squad and signed wide receiver Ja’Marcus Bradley and defensive tackle Sheldon Day to their active roster.

In order to give themselves at least a second running back for practice and the game, the team signed Brian Hill to their practice squad. Hill was a fifth-round pick of the Atlanta Falcons in 2017. For his career, Hill has carried the ball 209 times for 982 yards and three touchdowns.

The team also signed safety Nate Meadors and receiver Isaiah Zuber. Meadors spent time with head coach Kevin Stefanski in Minnesota in 2019 while Zuber spent 2020 on the New England Patriots practice squad. Cleveland plays New England in Week 10.
