The Cleveland Browns and Jack Conklin have struck a deal to keep the right tackle in the brown and orange uniform for four more years. Set to hit free agency after this season, Conklin has inked an extension that will guarantee him $31 million with an average of $15 million per year with the Browns.
James Hudson has not quite displayed the readiness to be a full-time tackle, so this deal makes a great deal of sense for the Browns. Conklin will be just the sixth-highest-paid right tackle, and 20th-highest-paid offensive tackle in general. And this is before free agency where those numbers will drop. Now they just need to extend Pro Bowl snub Ethan Pocic to retain every member of their offensive line in 2023.
